Reminder from the school nurse to all parents:
State law requires that all 6th grade and new students have a physical exam. A copy of the physical should be sent to the nurse's office by October 1, 2010.
State law also requires that all 7th grade and new students have a dental exam. A copy of the dental exam should also be in the nurse's office by October 1, 2010.
Physical and dental exams are offered by school doctors and will be done for all students who do not have a private physical or dental on record.

Immunization requirements will be changing. Children ATTENDING 7th grade in 2011/2012 need the following:
1 dose of tetanus, diphtheria, acellular pertussis (Tdap) (if 5 years has elapsed since last tetanus immunization)
1 dose of meningococcal conjugate vaccine (MCV)
2 doses of varicella (chickenpox) vaccine or history of disease
